Sustainability Report 2022/23
Every financial year, the uvex group publishes a Sustainability Report with detailed insight into the sustainability activities of all divisions.
protecting planet
With protecting planet, we have created a concept that offers maximum transparency and information about our sustainability activities. This document provides background information on the various protecting planet criteria.
The uvex CO₂ Footprint
To increase the transparency of our products' greenhouse gas emissions throughout the entire supply chain, uvex has started to calculate the carbon footprints of products. Discover more about the measurement methodology, and comparability of carbon footprints.
CO₂ Product List
You can now see individual carbon footprints of selected uvex products in our CO2 footprint list. Providing this data makes our products measurable, comparable and improvable. Our figures are ISO accredited and supported by globally recognised frameworks.
Established Sustainability
Since 2010, the uvex group board of management has structured the sustainable commitment of all brands both internally and externally. What we have already achieved has been standard practice for the uvex group for many years and is part of our Established Sustainability.
Code of Conduct
Our ethical compass for everyday work with behaviours and principles on how we shape our actions and our decision-making in a manner that is legally correct, but also ecologically sustainable and socially responsible.
Social Standard
Our social standard provides ethical principles for working with business partners and their employees, suppliers, representatives and subcontractors based on agreements of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations (UN) and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
Restricted Substances List
The uvex group adheres to the REACH regulation, avoiding hazardous substances and enforcing a strict restricted substances list. Their policy prioritizes minimizing harmful substances, exceeding EU directives, particularly for skin-contact PPE.
